Role Overview:

A leading financial markets infrastructure with a truly global footprint is on the lookout for a skilled professional to join its Trading Operations Team to play a crucial role in providing first-line supervision for all trading activities.

Your responsibilities include participating in the determination of reference prices, enforcing trading regulations, managing error trade policies, and contributing to benchmark pricing functions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn all processes across venues and functions managed by Trading Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Your role as a Trading Operations Associate will involve a range of responsibilities, including:
  • Ensuring the determination of reference prices adheres to the commercial and regulatory requirements
  • Participating in the Pricing Committee for the determination of Official and Closing Prices
  • Enforcing Dealing Regulations and Code of Conduct, including imposing disciplinary procedures for rule breaches as part of the Ring Disciplinary Committee
  • Establishing Settlement Prices for Ferrous Prices and new cash-settled futures products
  • Overseeing the management of the Error Trade Policy and Dynamic Price Bands, including updating and documenting relevant information
  • Determining Closing Prices for Traded Options, considering relevant trading activity and participant submissions
  • Ensuring effective determination of Platinum and Palladium prices through daily auctions
  • Maintaining Benchmark Regulation Compliance as a Benchmark Administrator
  • Providing regular updates on pricing-related matters and ensuring accurate transmission of reference prices
  • Collaborating with Market Surveillance, providing relevant observations and referrals from trading activity
  • Addressing stakeholder queries regarding pricing procedures and Trading Operations
  • Recommending and promoting enhancements to management, contributing to projects and initiatives
  • Conducting tutorials and education sessions for staff on price discovery for Futures and Options

To succeed in this role, the following qualifications and experience are necessary:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in the trading environment
  • Knowledge or experience in electronic trading
  • Good understanding of Benchmark Administrator responsibilities
  • Thorough knowledge of market terminology
  • Strong understanding of the forward price curve for each metal
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dealing regulations
  • Knowledge of Traded Options, where applicable
