About the Technology Client Director Role:

The Technology Client Director will work closely with a select set of customers in the delivery of technical support services. The role will require the Technology Client Director to gain an in-depth understanding of the customers’ technical environments to plan and enable the company to be proactive in our approach to managing the service.


As important as having well rounded technical skills and experience, is the ability to build working relationships with both Customers and colleagues, in turn supporting the company’s commitment to achieving high standards of customer satisfaction and service quality.


The Technology Client Director will build on long established success that the company have enjoyed in selling multi-vendor product, maintenance, and services.

The primary job responsibilities include:

• Client facing sales role (non-management)

• Drive new sales of product and services

• Drive a smaller portion of managed service sales to support your technology focused accounts as they transition their IT demands.

• Build a qualified pipeline to ensure you meet sales target.

• Work with end users and vendors to identify and close high value product and services sales.

Key Accountabilities:

• Identify, lead, manage, develop, new product sales into mostly new with some existing accounts.


• Build on well-established vendor relationships to drive new product sales for all our vendors.


• Deliver continual personal contribution of sales success against the sales plan.


• Continual and accurate management of sales reporting through sales force of sales pipeline.


• Using skills and experience built from professional sales training and experience in technology sales build your own pipeline of opportunity from both the company’s and your existing relationships.


• Ownership and responsibility for delivering targets and adapt as needed to continually deliver sales success.


• Managing a changing sales and economic environment and adding value to the team.


• Performance and profitability contribution will be measured via the sales plan that will be provided and commission will be paid against margin contribution created.


Ideal Requirements for this Role:

• 5 years’ experience and continued success in high value product sales

• Proven recent history of Margin focused product sales success, ideally around IBM product sets however Dell expertise or a very strong sales credentials with capability to identify drive and close sales will be considered


• Very strong product orientated mind set with a capability to consistently deliver sales throughout the year


• Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge from outside own area of expertise


• Strong commercial and deal awareness, excellent customer facing and presentation capabilities


• Experience of driving white space wins alongside increasing revenue in existing accounts


• Ability to handle objections effectively and constructively


• Excellent inter-personal and communications skills, and able to engage people at all levels of the business


• An effective communicator who engages with the business and makes a valuable contribution to its success beyond your own function


• Self-aware and wants to continue to learn and strive to improve themselves, and the business


• Able to adapt to change, and help others adapt to change


• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively at all levels
