About the Solution Architect Role:

The Solution Architect is expected to be capable of working independently, as a member of a team or being part of a virtual project team in performing the role of a Technical Design resource.

The Solution Architect is expected to have analytical ability and creativity in developing and costing the IT Solution and supporting the closing of customer opportunities.

The individual must deliver high quality and workable solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements. Perform many assigned technical tasks including assessment studies & analysis, sizing & capacity planning, solution design, competitive analysis, technical & solution presentation, and product technical skill for supporting Demo, PoC and Benchmark activities.

Have product, technology, or industry-related specialised skills and regularly works with requirements identification, proposal development, and execute the activities (presentation, PoC, Benchmarking, etc.) to ensure customer acknowledged and convinced on the advantages of the solution proposed

The primary job responsibilities include:

• Shaping and driving solution thinking for complex bids and delivery engagements
• Guiding customers towards the most suitable solution for their requirements
• Shaping solution designs following a structured methodology as appropriate to the project
• Aiding the sales team in opportunity development
• Design collaboration with other SA’s

Key Accountabilities:

• Technology Evangelist
• Attending or providing training to customers and internal staff
• Extending own knowledge into new areas of the IT industry such as Cloud
• Responding to RFP’s and Tender requests

 

Ideal Requirements for This Role:

You need to be eligible for SC Clearance

● They are looking for someone who is ready to join a team and contribute for the medium term at least – this is not a contract – they are in this for the long haul – and hope you are too

● You keep up to date with new and emerging technology and identify opportunities for its commercial application

● Because they are looking for people who can engage in the whole product process from time to time, they are looking for people able to think commercially, analyze and communicate

● They don’t like chaos and run an organized backlog with good roadmap visibility – but sometimes stuff gotta get done in a hurry – you have to be ready to lean in when needed

● Ready to participate – you need to be ready to bring ideas to the game – if you think they could do something better, faster, more elegantly, less elegantly! Then they are ready to hear your opinions
