Software Engineering Manager – Series B funded start up

Be the first engineering manager to help a tech start-up scale. They just successfully got $10 millions Series B funding and are building a platform to help innovation thrive. Working with large enterprises to find the hidden talent within or globally to help them create, innovate and solve new problems.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll work in a firm with an outstanding engineering culture and help to grow and lead product-focused development squads using Python, Django, Angular, TypeScript, Azure and more.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

• You will manage a team mainly in Bristol of up to 12 software engineers across 2 team, including a tech lead, and will report to the engineering director – cross functional
• Partnered with your product manager, you will define, plan and prioritise work for your team that provides value for real customers.
• You will join other engineering managers and directors to collaborate on ways of working and improve the developer experience for the organisation
• Provide strong technical leadership, product vision and drive a great engineering culture
• Be heavily involved in recruitment, onboarding and personal development

Ideally:

• Experience in building Software-as-a-Service platforms for enterprise customers.
• Experience of working in a highly technical, growing software company.
• Process experience from working as a Scrum Master or agile coach.

Hybrid – Bristol based.
