We are currently working with a fast-growing connectivity and digital technology start-up, looking to hire a Site Reliability Engineer.

They are a well-known supplier of supplier management and e-procurement software, and they are dedicated to giving its customers the most user-friendly, streamlined software experience and value possible.

Reason for opening: Expansion due to increased customer demand.

Role Summary 💻

You will be in charge of making sure the systems and applications are reliable, performant, and available. Someone with technical experience and the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams is needed for this crucial position.

You will work closely with software engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain systems and processes that ensure the reliability and availability of our applications. The SRE will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues proactively, monitoring systems, and implementing automation to reduce manual work.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with development, product, & infra teams to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure.
  • Monitor and improve the reliability and performance of our systems.
  • Automate deployment and configuration management processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system, application, and network performance.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues before they impact users.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.

Ideal Requirements for This Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role or a similar position.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor or Application Insights, PRTG, New Relic, and AWS Cloud watch.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
