About the Company:

You will be joining their Functional team which helps the company develop ground-breaking digital transformations and essential defence software, from Finance & Operations to Communications & Marketing.

You will support and collaborate with the organisation’s worldwide business, acting as a strategic advisor in your field of expertise and ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the company.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will become a member of the Classified Infrastructure Team and oversee the overall performance and availability of the Classified networks and other hosted systems as well as handling infrastructure support issues.

Ensuring users are supported at all organisational levels will be an important component of this function.

Responsibilities

• Hardware installation and maintenance (including printers, servers, thin clients, PCs, network hardware, and telephones).

• The setup and maintenance of software (including desktop & server applications).

 

• Taking care of situations within predetermined service standards, providing technical assistance with infrastructure modifications after change management procedures.

 

• Support Exchange, Active Directory, VMware, SharePoint, and Citrix platforms as well as Cisco environments on the network.

 

• Recognize underlying issues that are uncovered during routine operations, bring them to the attention of the Classified Infrastructure Manager, and manage their resolution.

 

• Execute regular maintenance tasks for servers, server applications, databases, systems, and network components in accordance with business standards and needs. updating or creating new content as necessary.

 

 

Ideal Requirements for this Role:

• Extensive experience installing, configuring and supporting Linux UNIX, including Cent OS, RedHat and Debian.

• Extensive experience installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Windows Servers (2008, 2012 & 2016), Active Director and Exchange.

• Knowledge of VMWare Infrastructure.

 

• Understanding of Networking and Security.

 

• Experience with the administration and support of SAN Environments.
