This consultancy firm is looking to further expand their Digital Intelligence department by hiring some new Systems Engineers in their Capabilities team.

About the Role

The Capabilities team is responsible for delivering high performance appliance and solutions within the Defensive Cyber market.

Capabilities is the largest area within Digital Intelligence as is comprised of Consulting, Project Management and Engineering teams, who are charged with designing and implementing defence solutions and digital transformation projects in the public and private sector.

As a senior member of the team, you will:

• Work with customers to own solution designs and engineering methods for their applications, as well as communicating with senior stakeholders to help with decision making and to co-ordinate design activities with the relevant teams.
• Work with other architects, engineers, and business analysts to get the best out of the team.
• Ensure that the solution meets its functional and non-functional requirements , and the correct application of relevant technologies, processes and tool chains, as well as ensuring that these components and sub-systems work together both technically and operationally.

Desirable Experience:

• Significant experience working as a Systems Engineer.
• Experience in elaborating the requirements to the Engineering teams to ensure that customer needs are met.
• Experience designing specific solutions to meet customer requirements, as well as any internal requirements.
• Awareness and application of security considerations (CIS hardening, security by design, NCSC principles).
• Awareness of Cross Domain and cloud technologies.
• Experience interacting and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders to understand, influence and shape requirements and solution approaches.
• Experience shaping solution designs following a structured methodology as appropriate to the project.
• Experience working with customer technical authorities to ensure they have a clear understanding of architecture and design proposals at an appropriate level.
• Experience retaining overall ownership of solution through bid, delivery and transition into operation.
• Experience leading estimation efforts to develop an understanding of potential solution costs and delivery timescales.
• Experience taking responsibility for the specification, flow-down and acceptance of sub-system/component requirements to internal development teams.
