The Opportunity

In this position, you will be accountable and in charge of the end-to-end service lifecycle, managing the service delivery strategy, service operations, and service optimisation.

You will need to take into account the most recent technical advancements, ensuring you effectively control cost and performance in accordance with established service standards.

You will need to provide a high-level of service level management, continuity management, and budget planning for these particular services.

Services may be internally supportive or customer-focused services. You will often collaborate with other service managers and handle escalations related to service delivery.

A Service Manager in this position needs to be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and be committed to continuous learning and professional growth.


  • Ensuring the issue-free operation of service management.
  • Accountability of all service components and service dependencies.
  • Act as a quality gate keeper to ensure operational readiness for changes/new releases/initial rollout in countries, e.g. as representative in Change Advisory Board.
  • Manage the service design and maintain the related service catalogue items (incl. service description).
  • Implementation of the service improvement plan (SIP), capacity plans, availability plan, IT service continuity plans.
  • Implementation of IT Service Mgmt. processes for the responsible Services.
  • Assurance of IT-based service quality accord. to SLA/OLA.
  • Derive improvement measures and track their implementation development and provision of figures in terms of costs of the services and the degree of fulfillment of SLA.
  • Coordination of service processes in close cooperation with other I process owners (incl. Incident, Change and Configuration Mgmt.).

Ideal Requirements for this Role:

  • University degree.
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM and ITIL).
  • Developed experience of Financial Management.
  • Understanding of Continuity and Availability Management.
  • Understanding of Service Level and Capacity Management.
