Senior Platform Engineer – Up to £300k – Financial Services – Greenfield Project

One of the UK’s leading Financial Services companies (with circa £50 billion of assets under management currently) is looking to hire a Senior Platform Engineer – they have recently launched a massive multi-year greenfield project, and now they must make a couple of important strategic hires before kicking off the next phase.

This is a brand-new phase where they are building out an entire greenfield cloud infrastructure to support the whole company.

Tech they use: Python, Rust, Terraform, AWS, SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure, Slang, C++

You Will:

• Be part of the team responsible for the major build-out of functionality on the new platform.
• Provide a vision and directly contribute to the overall architecture of the platform.
• Own parts of the buildout where you will be responsible for planning, and communication with senior stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and upskill the team.

Experience:

• Cloud development and architecture experience
• A team player with excellent communication skills
• Advanced analytical skills (typically evidenced by a degree in maths, physics, computer science, engineering, etc.)
• Applied programming skills – Python, Rust, C++ or other major languages.

Hybrid working model from their office in central London. Paying up to £300,000 total comp DoE.
