Our client, a leading defence and aerospace contractor based in Gloucester, England, is on the lookout for a team of senior C++ engineers with a strong background in product delivery and cybersecurity. About the Company:

The Cross-Domain (XD) team deliver high performance appliances for the Defensive Cyber market. They are responsible for the design of the whole appliance from high performance C++, embedded software, FPGA firmware (VHDL), custom PCBs, power distribution, and thermal management with cybersecurity at the heart of everything.

Day to day:

• Strong hands-on focus on the C++ application stack
• Working with a number of junior and senior developers in a closely-knit team
• Working alongside the Technical Lead and liaise company requirements with the team
• As such the role does involve aspects of design, leadership, and direct development.
• Remote working not available, travel allowance available based on eligibility

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience with C++ as well as other programming languages
• Eligibility for SC clearance (visa sponsorship is not available)
• Basic understanding of networking and multi-threaded environments
• Designing/optimising experience for performance enhancement, as the products deliver low latency (100 Gbit/s)
• Working in an Agile environment
