Python Developer – Investment Modelling Platforms – London/Remote – £90k + 25% Bonus

I’m working with a specialist FinTech company in London who are looking for a talented Python Developer.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of designing and building financial software and data services.

The Role

As a Python Developer, you’ll be primarily responsible for the development of investment modelling platforms, making sure they meet functional requirements whilst using best development practices and high-level code.

You’ll report to the Development Manager and you’ll spend part of the working week in the company’s London office. For the rest of the week you can work from home.

You’ll also be tasked with the following:

  • Development of frameworks around the investment modelling platforms
  • Implement solutions in line with architectural designs and software templates/patterns
  • You’ll work in a cross functional team comprising of software developers and investment quant developers

The Candidate

For this role, the hiring manager is looking for someone with strong Python programming skills ideally within financial services.

In addition, it’s essential that you can show the following:

  • Good database development skills
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise level architecture including RESTful APIs, microservices, Docker etc.
  • Good understanding of building DevOps CI/CD pipelines & Automated testing

It would be amazing if you had this on top:

  • Experience in modern web development (React or Angular)
  • Knowledge and experience of Cloud platforms (they use Azure)
  • Knowledge of fixed income products (bonds/swaps etc)

The Package

£90,000 base salary DOE + 25% Bonus
