Principal Software Engineer – Series B SaaS platform – Python, Django, Azure

Opportunity as a Series B SaaS start-up as a Principal Engineer, helping them scale up their innovation platform, helping multinational companies to supercharge their R&D – helping find the best people to change the world.

Senior IC position reporting to the Director of Eng as part of a senior team of 4. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing technology initiatives that impact the entire stack of their SaaS (Software as a Service) platform. You will apply your engineering knowledge and abilities to solve complex problems that contribute to their growth and success.

You will be involved in architecting, designing, and implementing new features and maintaining our Platform written in Python with Django & DRF in the back end and TypeScript & Angular on the front end.

Responsibilities

• Identify and execute architectural improvements to ensure our platform grows and scales with our product vision and customer base
• Collaborate with Product managers to design solutions for complex problems
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to identify and architect potential infrastructure changes and improvements
• Plan and develop code independently with minimal guidance keeping all the relevant stakeholders informed about the status and progress

Requirements

• Proficient in web principles including web performance, security, REST APIs, responsive design & mobile constraints
• Proficient in building enterprise B2B SaaS applications
• Proficient with Agile software development methodologies
• Proficient in Python or web technologies
