One of the largest travel platforms in the world, which generated revenue of nearly 1 billion dollars and who grew by almost 10% in 2021, is hiring a Principal Android Engineer to join their team in Canada.

Established for 20+ years, and utilised by billions of customers annually across 50+ markets, this company continues to change the face of travel.

The Role:

In this role, you will help build and deliver the Android platform roadmap, deploying your expertise to address any areas of weakness in the existing Android structure, and mentoring Android engineers across all levels.

You will be the go-to specialist consulting with various senior stakeholders as well as internal development teams, implementing best practices to solve complex Android issues.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Minimum 5+ years of senior-level experience with Android development, with a proven track record of advising organisations on Android architectural best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of software design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) as well as experience with development frameworks (Kotlin, Jetpack).
• Passion for building mobile applications at scale.
• Exceptional stakeholder communication ability.
