About the IT Project Manager – DevOps Vacancy:

  • As an IT IT Project Manager – DevOps, you are responsible for planning, controlling and implementing IT projects for their customers.
  • You structure and monitor project progress, including risk and change management, and support the creation of technical concepts.
  • Internally and on the customer side, you are responsible for the successful integration and control of all relevant stakeholders.
  • You will lead their motivated project teams made up of application developers, infrastructure specialists and data scientists and ensure that the necessary resources are available and that budget targets are adhered to.
  • Do you have experience in (cloud) operations? Then you will also manage their projects in the phases of establishing ops readiness and support their sales team in presales meetings.
  • You combine the strengths of people and technology with the domain knowledge of the subject matter experts and combine this profitably with your knowledge of agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban and your knowledge of modern technologies such as cloud, big data or AI.

Ideal Requirements for the IT Project Manager – DevOps Vacancy:

  • Good to very good university degree in computer science or a comparable course of study or equivalent practical knowledge.
  • Several years of experience in managing software projects (preferably in an agile environment)
  • Very good knowledge of software lifecycle management and the corresponding tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub) as well as project process models such as Scrum
  • Practical experience in the principles of software engineering and in IT infrastructures (server systems, authorization systems, networks, VMs…) and their administration (e.g. Azure, AWS, hybrid = local + cloud)
  • Routine in communication and collaboration with various stakeholders – in German and English
  • Ability to form and lead project teams
  • Organizational talent with strategic foresight as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Advantageous:

  • Own experience in implementing software systems
  • Experience leading operations teams on-premise and/or in the cloud and with the principles of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and/or other approaches to (cloud) operations
