Role Overview

A diverse, multi-faceted role that is integral to trading decision-making, client investment guideline negotiations and the robust implementation of technological limits to ensure consistency of communication of investment restrictions.

You’ll be:

• Analysing real-time risk/compliance alerts to ensure consistency with investment mandates and working with traders and portfolio managers to resolve exceptions.
• Managing pre-trade risk/compliance alerts, working with technology and front office teams to ensure there is a robust pre-trade risk framework.
• Reviewing investment restrictions for new mandates prior to finalisation.
• Implementing mandate and regulatory limits for risk systems, developing new reporting analytics where required.
• Investigating potential breaches of investment restrictions.
• Stipulating prospectus in collaboration with legal and structuring teams.
• Specifying system enhancements to facilitate the implementation of monitoring and analysis in line with strategic requirements.

You’ll have:

• An undergraduate or master’s degree in a subject with an analytical component.
• 5 – 7 years’ experience in a similar role at an asset manager.
• The ability to conceptualise and perform calculations as part of a portfolio of investments and derivatives.
• The desire and ability to work in a trading desk environment.
• Python programming skills.
• A working knowledge of Aladdin and/or Sentinel.
