Infrastructure Engineer – Financial Services – £80k

I’m working with a technology driven asset management company in London who are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with strong Windows experience, to join them on an initial 12 month fixed term contract (FTC).

The Role:

You’ll be primarily responsible for managing the core infrastructure across the business globally, focusing on the Windows server, VMWare & Cloud platforms.

You’ll work within the Wintel team, providing 3rd line support across the team.

Also, you can expect to be responsible for:

 

• Admin of HPE & Dell server estate, Microsoft estate and associated technologies
• Maintaining a high level of service delivery
• Providing support and advice to wider infrastructure teams

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent troubleshooting skills and a self-starter attitude.

In addition, it’s essential that you possess the following:

 

• Demonstrable understanding of how an enterprise infrastructure functions
• Understanding of how Microsoft technologies scale in a large environment
• Deep understanding of virtualisation technologies
• A great understanding Microsoft core infrastructure technologies
• Strong background scripting in Powershell/Python

Tech Stack:

SRM | vCenter | Grafana | Ansible | HP VSA | Vsan | Terraform | Octopus Deploy | Jenkins | Azure | Github

The Package:

• Basic salary: £60,000 – £80,000 per annum depending on experience
• Bonus: Up to 30%
• Hybrid working: 2 days per week in the London office
