About
As a Hardware Team Leader, you will lead a team of highly skilled and experienced hardware engineers responsible for the design lifecycle of our electronic solutions for cutting-edge products such as HUDs. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide both managerial and technical leadership to ensure the successful execution of hardware development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage an electronics design team, providing guidance and support throughout the full product development lifecycle.
- Manage work packages, including cost, schedule, risk, and opportunities, to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure adherence to the hardware development plan and company design processes, providing technical governance.
- Make cost and performance trade-offs to optimize solutions and minimize impacts from dependencies.
- Contribute to product architectural design, perform engineering trade-offs, and define technical requirements.
- Identify opportunities for improving working practices and facilitate the skill development of the team.
- Demonstrate an understanding of product design and effectively control work packages.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated high performance and achievement in leadership and management of engineering teams through a full product development lifecycle.
- Proven experience and knowledge of cost and planning management tools.
- Proven experience and knowledge of risk and opportunities management.
- Experience in both electronics design and programmable logic (PLD/FPGA) design practices.
- Ability to optimize solutions and minimize impacts from dependencies.
- Experience in product architectural design, engineering trade-offs, and defining technical requirements.
- Ability to identify improvements to working practices and facilitate team skill development.
- Understanding of product design and work package control.

- Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise.
- Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
- Work-package management tools (e.g., MSP, JIRA, etc.).
- DO-254 Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware.
