About

We are seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of electronic modules for a high integrity safety critical environment. The role involves working on a product with specific requirements, including AC/DC power supply (up to 800W), battery power management, and high current and H bridge actuation control applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering design lifecycle aspects, from conceptual design trades to service release flight clearance data, ensuring robustness, traceability, and the incorporation of high precision built-in test and monitoring features.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on the design lifecycle of electronic modules, including conceptual design, requirement decomposition, product description, and robustness analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace certification authority scrutiny and high integrity safety critical requirements.
  • Incorporate high precision built-in test and monitoring features to ensure product functionality and reliability over the useful life of the equipment.
  • Collaborate with large teams using methodologies such as Agile.
  • Provide regular and accurate progress reports, including estimates to complete tasks.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable pedigree in full product development and production lifecycles for analogue design related to power supply units (PSUs) and control applications.
  • Familiarity with collaborative working techniques in large teams, preferably Agile methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics design principles and practices.
  • Experience with AC/DC power supply design (up to 800W) and battery power management.
  • Understanding of high current and H bridge actuation control applications.
  • Ability to ensure traceability and compliance with high integrity safety critical requirements.
  • Familiarity with incorporating high precision built-in test and monitoring features.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Information:

  • Full SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance required.
  • Acceptable candidates may be able to start on BPSS ahead of SC completion.
