We are seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of electronic modules for a high integrity safety critical environment. The role involves working on a product with specific requirements, including high-performance microprocessors, graphics processing, PCIe, Ethernet PHY, high-speed serial interfaces, memory selection, data credibility monitoring, and deterministic system reset strategies. The product will require RTCA DO-254 certification and compliance with aerospace certification authority standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering design lifecycle aspects, from conceptual design trades to service release flight clearance data, ensuring robustness, traceability, and high precision built-in test and monitoring features.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on the design lifecycle of electronic modules, including conceptual design, requirement decomposition, product description, and robustness analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with RTCA DO-254 certification and aerospace certification authority standards.
  • Incorporate high precision built-in test and monitoring features to ensure product functionality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with large teams using methodologies such as Agile.
  • Provide regular and accurate progress reports, including estimates to complete tasks.

Requirements:

  • Full product development and production lifecycle experience in high integrity applications.
  • Familiarity with collaborative working techniques in large teams, preferably Agile methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics design principles and practices.
  • Experience with high-performance microprocessors, graphics processing, Rational DOORS, PCIe, Ethernet PHY, and high-speed serial interfaces.
  • Understanding of memory selection and robust data credibility monitoring.
  • Familiarity with deterministic system reset strategies.
  • Knowledge of RTCA DO-254 certification requirements and aerospace certification authority standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with the Mentor tool chain is advantageous.

Additional Information:

  • Full SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance required.
  • Acceptable candidates may be able to start on BPSS ahead of SC completion.
