GCP Architect – Team Lead

(Up to £110,000 + bonuses)

A boutique Google Cloud Premier partner recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK are growing its team to cope with future customer demand. The team are looking to make this strategic “Team Lead” hire to own the App Modernisation projects from an architectural perspective.

About the role:

• Line manage a small team of engineers (mainly mid-level and senior engineers)
• Design GCP-based solutions in the app modernisation area
• Work closely with the CTO and sales teams to define the GTM offering
• Define best practices internally around IaC, architecture, ways of working, and containerisation
• Get hands-on with modern DevOps tools and programming languages occasionally

What do you need to apply?

• Recent experience as a Line Manager (Last 2 years)
• Proven track record of designing scalable cloud-based solutions (at least one of these projects has to be in GCP
• Able to get hands-on with Terraform and Kubernetes when needed as well as being able to train others to use them optimally
• Able to access the London office on a weekly basis

Bonus points:

• Certifications in GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes
• Prior experience working for an Agile cloud partner
• Exposure to a P&L
