Orbis has partnered with a globally recognised, pension, investments and asset management organisation to find a Data Integration Lead to join their Data Management Platform Team.

Role Summary

As a Data Integration Lead, you will be working on a greenfield project, implementing a new state-of-the-art, unique to the market enterprise data management system, as well as liaising with stakeholders and leading a team of 2 individuals.

Your responsibilities with include:

• Designing, building, documenting, deploying and testing data integration solutions in line with business requirements across non-prod and production environments.
• Using analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose technical and data issues when incidents occur or as highlighted by users.
• Performing quality assurance checks and peer reviews, testing, brainstorming and designing change exercises.
• Collaborating with the application support team for solution handover to production.
• As subject matter expert, training and supporting the team’s solution to other team members and the application support team.
• Improving upon processes, controls and procedures that add value to the team and company with respect to data security, robustness, best practices, reliability, performance, scalability, company strategy and team efficiency.

Essential Requirements for This Role:

• Proven experience in enterprise data management platforms, such as GoldenSource, Markit EDM, Bloomberg DMS, Eagle, or Finbourne.
• Experience in cloud and hybrid data integration, especially Azure cloud technologies e.g., APIs, logging, integration patterns.
• Strong SQL programming skills in database technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL Server.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience in using data and metadata comparison tools such as Excel vlookups, pivots, Beyond Compare.
• Experience in integrating multiple data sources
• Experience of the full software development life cycle
• Experience in Agile Development practices, and task tracking in JIRA or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have:

• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or other structured programming languages such as C# or Java.
• Good software practices and version control using source code management systems such as Git.
• File de/encryption tools e.g., pgp, gpg.
• Experience in the insurance, pension, or finance industry.
