One of London’s most historic financial institutions is currently going through an exciting period of change from both a technology and people perspective. They are already very successful in the market however have now made a large investment to modernise the way they work. This includes building a new trading system from scratch, investing in new technologies and empowering people with one of the most refreshingly flat structure in the market.
They are currently looking for an experienced C++ Developer, alongside 22 best in market hires, to work on the greenfield build of a state of the art trading system. This position will be part of the Trading Services team, focused on building core components of the greenfield trading system.
The ideal candidate will reciprocate the businesses values and have a genuine want to be part of their journey. This role will need someone who has experience with C++ development, an interest in finance and strong problem solving skills.
Key Skills
· Minimum 4 years C++ development on Linux
· Python and bash scripting skills
· Experience designing and implementing multithreaded and distributed systems
· Experience of exchange trading gateways and/or market data feed handlers
· Experience working with some form of financial Derivatives is desirable
· Previous experience working for an Exchange or with Order Management Systems is desirable
· Knowledge of the Networking or FIX Protocol
Key Responsibilities:
· Build scalable, highly performant code
· Take ownership of key components and features of a greenfield trading platform, working autonomously with the trust and support of your leaders and peers
· Make key contributions to overall systems architecture within a distributed computing environment
