C# Application Developer

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Salary: £70,000/YR - £95,000/YR

I’m looking for an Application Developer to work for a leading specialist insurer in London.

You’ll be primarily responsible for the overall purpose and success of the organisation by implementing and maintaining robust technical solutions for the Investment side of the business.

In addition to the above, you’ll be tasked with the following:

• Development of investment model frameworks using Azure-hosted APIs & Databases
• Implement solutions in line with software templates and architect designs.
• Assist with the migration from IBM Data Manager to Azure, and build new micro-services frameworks
• Implementing best practices and continuously raising the bar on the quality and scalability of the products and technology.

You’ll work with the wider engineering team and have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. This isn’t set in stone but the team try to stick to a ’50/50′ approach to hybrid working, where possible.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, I need to see most of the following:

• Extensive experience and strong knowledge of ETL & Database development skills
• Experience with OracleSQL
• Exposure to IBM Data Manager
• You know how to use and deploy applications on the cloud, ideally Azure.
• Knowledge of enterprise-level architecture (RESTful APIs, micro-services, Docker)
• A strong understanding of building DevOps/CI/CD pipelines
• Strong C# programming skills
• Financial Services experience would be lovely (fixed-income products even better!)

 

The Package:

Salary: £70,000 – £95,000 (Depending on experience)

Bonus: 25%

Plus all the usual add-ons – Pension, Private Health etc.
