Title – AI Engineer (LangChain, RAG, Chroma)

Day rate – £600-700/day (outside IR35)

Location – Remote with occasional travel to London or Manchester

Duration – 12-month contract

We have partnered with a fast-growing private investment firm, with offices across Europe and the US, to find an experienced AI Engineer.

Role Summary

As an AI Engineer, you will be playing a pivotal role in their mission to revolutionise travel experiences through AI-driven insights and recommendations. Your role will be key in developing and optimising their AI models and systems, ensuring that they deliver personalised and valuable travel recommendations to their users.

Responsibilities:

• Leveraging your LangChain expertise to develop, implement, and optimise natural language processing (NLP) models and algorithms.
• Working closely with their team to integrate and enhance Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for personalised travel recommendations.
• Using vector stores such as Chroma to organise, manage, and retrieve travel-related data efficiently.
• Developing and refining AI models to understand user preferences and provide tailored travel suggestions.
• Working alongside data engineers to integrate and preprocess various data sources, ensuring high-quality inputs for AI models.
• Optimising AI algorithms for performance, scalability, and real-time responsiveness.
• Performing rigorous evaluation and testing of AI models, continuously iterating and improving based on user feedback and data analysis.
• Remaining at the forefront of AI research, exploring emerging techniques and technologies to enhance their AI-driven solutions

Experience required:

• Extensive experience in AI engineering, with a focus on LangChain, RAG, and vector stores like Chroma.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and expertise in relevant libraries and frameworks, such as Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, etc.
• Experience with NLP techniques and technologies, such as sentiment analysis, topic modelling, text classification, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.

Desirable experience

• Knowledge of recommendation systems and personalization algorithms.
• A passion for travel and a commitment to crafting exceptional travel experiences.
